The Best Geeks is giving our Senior Consultants a very competitive base salary, with the possibility of a bonus/commission structure. The Best Geeks will make it in your best interest never to leave the company.

We work with Small Businesses in the North Houston, Texas area. More specifically areas such as The Woodlands, Spring, Tomball, Magnolia, Conroe and Willis. You will perform IT consultations and make recommendations for our clients/prospects. You will also provide onsite and remote IT support. You must be the type of person that will provide our clients with the best customer service experience of their lifetime. You must also be able to live up to our motto "If we can't fix it, you don't pay"!




TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • MCSE knowledge (Certification is preferred) for Windows Server based solutions, minimum 2008 Server and Small Business Server. VPN setup and maintenance, DNS setup and troubleshooting, Group Policy implementation
  • Microsoft Exchange design, installation, maintenance and backup.
  • Comptia A+ Hardware level knowledge (Certification is preferred)
  • Enterprise Backup methodology including BDR's.
  • Highly advanced Desktop configuration knowledge
  • Advanced Virus removal techniques
  • Scripting including .BAT files
  • Sonicwall configuration
  • Windows Sharepoint setup/configuration/troubleshooting
  • Blackberry BES and BIS configuration/troubleshooting

    NON-TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Outstanding customer service skills (The clients must love you)
  • Outstanding Organizational and Time Management Skills
  • Exceptional documentation skills (Our client's operation is fully documented)
  • Follows directions and asks for help immediately when unclear or unsure.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Background check must be clean.
  • Must currently live within 30 minutes of the service area
  • Can speak to and explain things to business owners, not just computer people.
  • Must truly understand and believe that each client's data is mission critical.

COMPENSATION BENEFITS:

  • $60,000 base salary for the right candidate.
  • If you speak to a candidate and convince them to use our services you will be eligible for a "salesman like" commission.
  • You will have a company car. Gas and maintenance paid for by employer.
  • Tools of the trade provided such phone with (Email/Calendar/Contacts/Tasks)
  • No Health Care, Dental, Vision or any other Benefits at this time. However by December of 2011 this most likely will change.

THE PERFECT CANDIDATE:

  • Businesses that can be brought in under our care.
  • Cisco Experience (Certification is preferred)
  • Microsoft Virtualization experience
  • Linux Server, Proxy experience
  • Macintosh Experience
  • Connectwise usage experience for opening tickets and accounting for time.
  • Zenith Infotech understanding and knowledge of BDR and Managed Services platform
  • A great technical 'geek' who can consult with clients by asking questions to understand their business and then with that information either fix or design the IT solution.
  • A high level of Windows Server (2011 SBS, 2008 Standard/SBS /2003 Standard/SBS) and Exchange/SQL experience.
  • Enjoys a workday full of constant challenges and learning experiences.
