Removing cached entries from Outlook autocomplete

by admin on Jul.27, 2009, under Microsoft Office

If you are irritated because you accidently typed in the wrong email address for someone and now everytime you start to type in their name Outlook auto completes it with the wrong email then simply delete the offending cached entry.  This can be done by doing the following from within Outlook

  • Create a new message
  • Start typing some of the letters of the receipient’s name and this will pop up the cached entries in a drop-down list.
  • Simply use the up or down arrows to highlight the entry you want to delete and press the delete key.
